  2. Another option from the Tools menu is “Find”.

  11. When this selection is chosen you will see the following screen:

  37. To find a word, phrase or number in the error name list, Apple’s explanations, detailed explanations or the Sad Mac codes within Black & Bleu™, perform the following steps from this window:

  40. Enter the word, number or phrase you are looking for in the box below the words “Look for”

  42. Step 2
  43. Either leave the “ignore case” box checked (default), or uncheck it. Unchecking it means that “Find” will only find exact matches (including upper and lower case) to what is typed in.

  46. Note that you do NOT need to do these steps in any order. Just complete both steps before continuing.

  48. “All” or “None” button
  49. The “All” or “None” button is a shortcut for checking or unchecking the sections you wish to search in (error name list, Apple’s explanations, the detailed explanations and/or the Sad Mac codes). Clicking on the “All” button will automatically check all the boxes for you. Clicking on “None” will remove all the check marks.

  51. “Find” button
  52. Click on the “Find” button to search for the word, phrase or number.

  54. When you have completed all these steps, a list of items matching your search request will be displayed. The results of a search for the word “fatal” is shown below.

  81. To see the entire database entry associated with your search, click the “View” button. This action will show a window that best displays the item you want to view, scroll the text that matches your search into view and highlight it. Note that the “Find” window will move behind the new window, but it is still there. Use the “Tools” menu to bring it back to the front if you want to see it again.

  84. To exit from the Find screen, click on the “Close” button.
